Sound system selection and price calculation for training hall

Sound system selection and price calculation for training hall
·         Hall capacity -60 person
·         Hall size: 18x 6 sqm= 108 sqm,

sound system for training hall
 Selection of speaker
Sound pressure level required              =50dB/sqm
SPL for hall                                         =108X50 = 5400 dB
Speaker capacity                                  = 92dB/1W/1M
Output of 15W speaker                                   =92X15= 1380 dB
Speaker efficiency                               = 70% (say)
Quantity of speaker                             = dB required/(efficiency X output of one speaker)
                                                             = 5400/(0.7 X 1380) = 5.59, Say 6 nos.
Selection of amplifier
Each speaker wattage                            = 15 W
No. of speaker                                     = 6
Total watt                                             = 15 x 6 =90 Watt
Selected amplifier                                = 160Watt

General:
1.      The column loudspeakers shall be installed vertically at a height of 1.5 m above the ground level and inclined at an angle of 8 degree to 10 degree towards the ground (if possible).
2.      All the loudspeakers in each group should be connected in parallel and in phase across the output line.
3.      Microphone cable-These cables carry low level signal currents and are, therefore, susceptible for electrical interference. Twisted pairs of conductors with sufficient insulation, screened continuously with close mesh of tinned copper braid shall be used. The copper braiding should be sheathed with an insulated covering. The microphone cables shall be isolated from power, loudspeaker and telephone cables.
4.      Joints in the cables should be avoided as far as possible.
5.      The speaker cable should be twin core rubber or PVC insulated lead-covered cables. These should be rated for 250 volts insulation and should be isolated from microphone cable and power cable.
